Toxicity in Living Cells

We are currently investigating the causes of Alzheimer's and other diseases using models that are validated in living organisms. We have previously designed mutants of Alzheimer's A beta peptide whose aggregation propensities anti-correlate with reduction of lifespan in transgenic fruit fly (adapted from Luheshi LM, Tartaglia GG, Brorsson AC, Pawar AP, Watson IE, Chiti F, Vendruscolo M, Lomas DA, Dobson CM, Crowther DC..
