BIST – Leadership in Action 2021 - Leading in strategy and culture in a research environment

The programme for 2021 has been redefined as online interactive programme to help you in developing your leadership skills in the current context of a research environment.  We will explore leadership theory and apply it directly to the challenges that you have working as post doctoral staff. The programme starts with a one and a half hour session to meet your fellow participants, share your leadership challenges and set individual goals for the programme.   Following that are four three hour workshops (with breaks!).  I will introduce leadership theory related to the theme of the workshop and then you will work in small groups to critique and apply that theory.  We will finish with reflecting on what we have learned and the challenges of applying the theory.  These are interactive and practical workshops, so come prepared with your leadership challenges, your professional ambitions and a willingness to experiment.    I'm looking forward to working with you.  Caroline, your trainer.
