It hosts a major GPU computing infrastructure and is a partner in flagship initiatives such as the Human Phenotype Project and the Emirati Genome Project. The session will open with an overview of MBZUAI's Master and PhD programmes, followed by three short research talks. Nataša Pržulj will discuss her network science approaches to multi-omics data fusion for precision medicine and drug discovery. Eduardo Beltrame will present computational methods for single-cell RNA sequencing, enabling high-resolution molecular profiling of individual cells at scale. Cédric Notredame will close with an overview of his work on multiple sequence alignment, large-scale comparative genomics, and the development of Nextflow, a widely used framework for scalable and reproducible bioinformatics workflows. The talks will be followed by an open Q&A.
