Grants Offices from EU-LIFE institutes, including the CRG, come together to support MSCA-PF applicants

News piece published by EU-LIFE on 2nd May 2022

The EU-LIFE MSCA-PF booklet, launched today, outlines the level of support offered by each EU-LIFE institute’s grant office for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship applications, as well as the support and training available. It is an essential tool for PhDs and postdocs who wish to apply for this programme with one of our member institutes as the host. We expect that this booklet will help keep up the 27% success rate of EU-LIFE institutes’ MSCA-IF applications in Horizon 2020, well above the general EU average of 15%.

The majority of the EU-LIFE member institutes have dedicated grants offices offering support to their researchers when preparing national and international funding applications, which is a crucial factor for their outstanding performance indicators. The EU-LIFE Grants & Funding Working Group brings together those specialists to share good practices, analyse success rate data and develop training for researchers. The booklet is the product of combined efforts of the EU-LIFE Grants & Funding Working Group members.

The objective of  the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) to support researchers’ careers and foster excellence in research fully aligns with EU-LIFE’s mission and values. In addition, it provides early-career researchers with great opportunities to obtain international experience and develop new skills, fostering collaboration within the EU-LIFE alliance further.
