He will show how basic concepts in HER2 dimerization and internalization triggered the idea of exploiting the therapeutic effects of antibody-drug conjugates in HER2 mutant cancer. Maurizio will also review how preclinical data in cell lines and animal models set the stage for combining KRAS inhibitors with EGFR blockade in colorectal cancer, a concept that is now universally accepted and adopted by pharmaceutical companies. Finally, Maurizio will present how new epigenetic drugs may finally bring tangible clinical benefit in specific patient populations.
