Internal Training: Introduction to Python - May 2022

This course will touch the basics of Python commands and data analysis packages and is suitable for beginners. The following specific content will be covered:

• Introduction to Python and Jupyter Notebook
• Basics of Python: syntax, objects, simple arithmetic
• Python flow control: if...else statements, for and while loops
• Data types: numbers, lists, strings, dictionaries
• Functions in Python
• Reading and writing files
• Installing and using packages
• Regular expressions
• Introduction to Pandas and Numpy packages
• Basics plotting with Seaborn and Matplotlib packages
