About the Conference Series

The EMBO Conference Series on Myogenesis relates basic research in muscle biology to major issues in development, disease, regeneration and systems biology.

The field of skeletal myogenesis has been a catalyst for studies of cell fate specification, patterning, lineage progression and tissue regeneration, since key transcriptional and signaling networks involved in these processes have been unraveled. These advances have provided the backdrop for understanding the fundamental processes of cell behavior and stemness, thus leading to their exploitation in a clinical setting.
