This course will touch the basics of Python commands and data analysis packages and is suitable for beginners. The following specific content will be covered:
- Introduction to Python and Jupyter Notebook
- Basics of Python: syntax, objects, simple arithmetic
- Python flow control: if...else statements, for and while loops
- Data types: numbers, lists, strings, dictionaries
- Functions in Python
- Reading and writing files
- Installing and using packages
- Regular expressions
- Introduction to Pandas and Numpy packages
- Basics plotting with Seaborn and Matplotlib packages
