IV CRG PhD Students Symposium

The IV CRG PhD Students Symposium is a CRG internal symposium with the aim to provide a platform for the young scientists working at the CRG. All 2nd year students will give a short talk focusing on the main question they want to address in their PhD and how they are planning to do this. In addition posters of 3rd year students will give an overview of work that is being carried out in our institute.

This year’s symposium will for the first time also comprise the PhD graduation ceremony.

ENCODE Project Overview

The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) launched a public research consortium named ENCODE, the Encyclopedia Of DNA Elements, in September 2003, to carry out a project to identify all functional elements in the human genome sequence. The project started with two components - a pilot phase and a technology development phase.
