In this keynote, I share my journey as a woman of colour navigating research, self-doubt, and the subtle pressures of belonging. From grappling with impostor syndrome to discovering the power of mentors and persistence, I explore how trusting the journey can open unexpected doors. Through personal stories and lessons learned, this talk invites PhD students and postdocs to embrace uncertainty, reframe their internal narratives, and step into their place in science with confidence and purpose.
Please note that there will be a 'lunch with the speaker' on the 5th terrace after the talk, aimed at PhD students and postdocs. Lunch is limited to 20 places and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. PhD students and postdocs interested in having lunch with the speaker, please register HERE.
We warmly encourage all members of the CRG community to attend.
