Anniversary Symposium: 10 Years of Research, Education & Training at the CRG

08003 Barcelona, Spain

Symposium overview

The celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is a very special occasion to show the growth and advances achieved, which have both allowed the CRG to become a center of excellence and be on a par with the best institutes for biomedical research internationally. The CRG achievements have been several in its first 10 years of history and during the symposium we will present this scientific progress through the participation of some of the most prestigious scientists worldwide, and by CRG Alumni and researchers currently at the institute.

Producing world-class science of fundamental importance, to educate and train young scientists, and help shape the future of life sciences in Spain are the main objectives of CRG. The aim is that our politicians, members of the external scientific advisory board, CRG scientists, media and other professionals involved in the field of science and education to witness the achievements of the center. All these developments will be presented by a group of pioneering scientists in the international arena, with no direct connection to the CRG.

The symposium will cover research areas of high interest, such as genomics and molecular biology, not to mention cell biology, biotechnology or genetics. The latest and most important advances in these disciplines will be discussed during the meeting.

This symposium aims to celebrate the first 10-year history of CRG with the rest of the scientific community, and this will spread and strengthen the presence of the institution in the international arena. At the same time, it is expected that the symposium becomes a forum for the exchange of experiences, which could turn into future collaborations between our scientists and all our invited speakers and participants. And all this thanks to the content of the symposium, which will consist of presentations by invited speakers, discussions and dialogues with and among the attendees.
