Symposium Overview:

The BioBusiness Shcool will be composed of several modules combining lectures and workshops, motivating the participants through hands-on and real-life examples. Each lecture will provide an introduction to a key aspect of technology transfer and the most relevant tools in relation to it, while the workshops will focus on stimulating the entrepreneurship competences and skills of participants to apply the newly acquired knowledge to their own projects or ideas, in order to make them into products.

Blindness is a major global health challenge because of the enormous impact it has on patients and their families, and their important socio-economic consequences. Besides the great emotional impact that this implies for patients and their families, also means the inability to pursue education, to find a quality job, an increased risk for falls and accidents, a limited autonomy and an impediment to have an active lifestyle and quality.
