"Psoriasis: dissection of the genome reveals new genes and opens doors to the development of new treatments"

PSORIASIS: DISSECTION OF THE GENOME REVEALS NEW GENES AND OPENS DOORS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW TREATMENTS

A study published by an international consortium, including the participation of Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) and Hospital del Mar researchers, describes new efforts made in the study of psoriasis.

The work, published in the journal Nature Genetics, evaluated 600,000 regions of the genome with the objective of determining genetic susceptibility to this disease.
