These workshops allow students to experience science first hand. Not only will they visit our labs, but they will also carry out real experiments and rub shoulders with the researchers for several hours. The experimentation workshops are aimed at baccalaureate students who must decide their future in the following months, and the aim is that the activity becomes part of the decision making process for these students and arouses their interest in scientific research and biomedicine, while at the same time consolidating knowledge already gained in the classroom, by seeing how it is applied in authentic cases.
The workshops comprise a visit for 12 to 15 students to a CRG research group. The young people will get to know the centre’s facilities, the research carried out and participate in different experiments with the research group they visit, they can talk to the researchers about their daily work, and how they have got to where they are today professionally.
