Crowdfunding for an intellectual disability video game

Disorders related to memory, language and relationship capacity determine quality of life in people with intellectual disability making even more difficult their opportunities to be fully integrated to society. For this reason, it is crucial to produce  new tools that contribute to improve and stimulate these abilities.

A team of researchers led by CRG group leader Mara Dierssen in collaboration with neuropsychologists and neuropharmacologists at the IMIM- Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute and video game developers from the University of Barcelona, Cookie Box and Bloom 3D Technologies Centre, have just presented a new video game for cognitive stimulation, science-based, modern, funny and accessible to all people with intellectual disabilities.

They are trying to make this video game a reality through a crowdfunding action. This project is now available at the Precipita platform, a new initiative to promote special and interesting projects to be funded through micro-patronage.

The Precipita platform was launched last October 9 at the Carlos III Institute in Madrid. It is an initiative of the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness through the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology.

Little things can make a big difference! Let's contribute to the Brainful Legends video game here.
